This t-shirt is everything you've dreamed of and more. It feels soft and lightweight, with the right amount of stretch. It's comfortable and flattering for all.
Ngai is the supreme creator god of the Maasai people, associated with the sky, rain, and the natural forces that sustain life.
The Maasai people are nomadic and are largely situated in regions of southern Kenya and northern Tanzania in east Africa.
I designed him as elemental, made of the earth with which he is associated. Behind him are Mount Kilimanjaro which is a symbol of the Maasai habitat, and a lion symbolizing the quarry in coming-of-age hunts for young Maasai warriors.
In Ngai’s left hand I have designed him holding a “rungu”, a wooden throwing club especially associated with Maasai warriors who have traditionally used it in warfare and for hunting. In his right hand he is holding an “embere”, a traditional Maasai spear with its steel pointed base and wooden shaft. He is wearing an “enkuraru” the headdress of a Maasai warrior (they do not have chiefs; their societies are based on communal leadership).
Disclaimer: The fabric is slightly sheer and may appear see-through, especially in lighter colors or under certain lighting conditions.
