Women's Afrikkan Pantheon (African Gods) Amadioha t-shirt

Amadioha is the deity of thunder and lightning of the Igbo people of southeastern Nigeria. His color is red, and his symbol is a white ram. Metaphysically, Amadioha represents the collective will of the people. He is often associated with Anyanwu, who is the Igbo god of the Sun (whom I also depicted in a piece of art). While Anyanwu is more prominent in northern Igboland, Amadioha is more prominent in the southern part.

I depicted him as an elemental figure, composed of thunderclouds and lightning. I did this as a departure from a lot of other designs I saw, which showed him as an African knockoff of Thor. He is wearing an Igbo “Izzi” masquerade mask of my own design with horns to symbolize the symbolic ram. His cloak is a white ram and his scepter is a thunderbolt. His throne is based on carved Igbo thrones that I saw in reference sources. The embroidery on the throne symbolizes a sunrise representing Anyanwu, with whom he is often identified. The masks on the throne represent the collective will of the people over whom he has authority.
